Air Stream Collective develops and realises projects at the intersection of art, science and society. We take up socially relevant questions of today and tomorrow, bring people together and create spaces for exchange and innovation.
Transdisciplinary work is what we enjoy and is close to our hearts. When disciplines, practice, and society come together, surprising outcomes often emerge. Established ways of thinking and methods are broken down, and unknown perspectives and horizons open up. New and astonishing insights and findings develop. We see experimenting with these in our projects and making them accessible to a broad public as an important contribution to addressing our current challenges.

Initiator and founder
Air Stream Collective was founded by producer and cultural manager Ursina Merkt. With the collective, she wants to create projects that trigger positive emotions in people, that encourage reflection and challenge them. Projects that inspire and enchant the makers at the moment of their creation, that break new ground and awe us.
Ursina Merkt has many years of experience in setting up and managing projects of various sizes and types – from small innovation initiatives to large-scale cultural projects. Bringing together different disciplines and people and jointly developing and implementing the projects plays a central role in her work. Her projects span art, nature, architecture, society, activism and science.
The pool of collaborators for the collective draws from her broad network, which she has built up over the last 25 years in Switzerland and abroad, and is constantly expanding.
